Rattly and Raw has announced the release of Lockdown Kitchen, a free instrument for NI Kontakt featuring found sounds.
Made when Rattly and Raw's in-house mix engineer, Emre, got bored during the lockdown. To the dismay of his family, he sampled everything across the flat. Including multiple recordings of each surface and kitchen utensil. We included washing machines, espresso makers, and much more. Enjoy!
Lockdown Kitchen is an instrument full of kitchen percussion instruments perfect for lockdown jams. Authentic range cooker, coffee grinder, bread knives, saucepans, washing machine doors, and many many many more. All multi-sampled and loaded with functionality.
The interface is fun and interactive, if you hover any item, it will light up. The kitchen has three views, each with more "instruments". If you click on any of these instruments, you'll enter in focus mode, which lets you choose MIDI assignments and activate effects such as compression, distortion and reverb, also tweak the tone, output level and "tuning". There's a "Preferences" menu where you can reset MIDI and fx and turn on/off the velocity. Don't get fooled by the silly (?) interface. Lockdown Kitchen is capable of serious sound designing. |
