The 80s and 90s were two decades full of iconic synthesizers, and now these synths are more popular than ever. Many people want their music to have a retro sound and want the hardware to be in good condition. If you don't have money and want to use it in a DAW, there are also many high-quality emulated versions of classic synths from the 80s/90s. For pure synth instruments like the Roland Jupiter-8, this is not a problem.
