Retro Gaming Sounds for Modern Productions
Nostalgia for the golden age of video games has resurrected one of the most interesting and exciting genres in electronic music: "chiptune," "8-bit," or simply "chip music." Relying on chips and hardware from old-school gaming and computing systems, modern artists have recreated the retro feel of music from these devices and created compelling new sounds along the way.
With BLIP BLOP, we're proud to present a FLAVR series instrument that draws inspiration from some of the most famous legacy audio chips. And with over forty years of sounds to call from, we've taken it to the next level with several patches that combine the musical essence of many different games throughout history.
