Arco is a beautiful ensemble consisting of four pianos, carefully sampled in the concert hall, featuring a range of bowstring and plucking techniques. Arco is perfect for dramatic expansion, shimmering textures, and rich melodic lines. After more than a year of production, this is the first of its kind, and Arco's unique sound flavor will become a popular addition to any composer's toolbox.

Arco's voice can be described as a blend of piano and string ensemble. We took four pianos (two grand pianos and two upright pianos) and placed them in the concert hall, playing each note with a series of techniques. After weeks of planning and experimentation, we have decided to use nylon fishing line coated with two types of rosin - bass rosin for the lower section and cello rosin for the upper section.

In addition to bow shaped pronunciation, the library also includes ensemble plucking, specially written plucking vibrato, and a range of dissonant arbitrary FX and glissando.

Developed for modern film, television, and gaming composers, Arco has extremely high out of the box usability and a clean, easily accessible user interface for controlling performance.
