Scoring Piano will find a perfect place in any soundtrack, and like My Piano, excels in both jazz and classical music.
We've paid special attention to capturing the softest dynamics with precision. Thanks to our Dynamic Range Control, achieving that signature "Thomas Newman" cinematic sound is effortless.
Furthermore, Scoring Piano features an exceptional dynamic range, allowing you to perform across all music genres.
Scoring Piano comes equipped with comprehensive sound crafting controls, including EQ, Reverb, three mixable microphone positions, and fine-tuned controls for pedal resonances and mechanical noises. We've intentionally omitted fancy effects like delay and compression, because our focus has been creating a natural sounding piano of the highest caliber.
For Scoring Piano, we've refined our work with the sample masking technique, that fades old notes sustained over the same key: this helps to prevent phasing issues common to standard piano libraries and to control the polyphony.
This strict control over polyphony allowed us to implement an emulation of the interaction between keys that is evident on every piano. If a key is held pressed while another one is struck, you'll hear a third pitch that is the result of the interaction of the first two. This is called Sympathetic Resonance and the result is a warmer piano sound, very suited to soundtracks and delicate, intimate piano works.
