Tidal Orchestra
A new standard in orchestral sample library innovation, it will dramatically expand your existing orchestral palette to include a plethora of completely unique textures. As well as using straightforward long notes, the library also uses pointillism, with multiple players playing short notes at random intervals, to produce an undulating wave of sound in real time, with exhilarating results.

It uses our Swarm approach but is tuned for orchestra, achieving even more detail by exploiting the variety of articulations and playing styles of orchestral instruments recorded at the renowned UK Grove Studios. It will bring a fluid dynamic to your productions that dances with the image. This library was made in partnership exclusively with Bleeding Fingers and has been featured on Blue Planet II and Hans Zimmer x Radiohead's (Ocean) Bloom.

This library is an innovative collaboration with Bleeding Fingers (Planet Earth II, Sons of Liberty, Roman Empire: Reign of Blood), who wanted to use the library for the BBC's flagship series: Blue Planet II. The idea is to record multiple players playing short, random notes of the same pitch. This results in a granular 'cloud' of notes - a beautiful, lingering texture of sound made up of layers of tiny notes, which can be used in place of the traditional long notes. It's the perfect soundtrack for epic, panoramic scenes, like those featured in the groundbreaking TV show.

Spitfire is very familiar with this approach - we've used this technique in our existing Swarm library. This opportunity pushed us into new and broader territory, combining Swarm technology with the power of an orchestra. We quickly and secretly provided an initial library to the Bleeding Fingers team, specifically for use in performances. It was even used by Hans Zimmer and Radiohead as part of their '(Ocean) Bloom' collaboration. We later returned to the studio to capture more material with an orchestra, including short notes, extended techniques and layers, to create a comprehensive tool for media composers.
