A nuanced, versatile classic
We hand-pick 16 of the finest string players, recorded via the finest signal path in London's Air Studios Concert Hall, to deliver an encyclopedic range of articulations and techniques. This smaller band offers even more attention to detail than our symphony orchestra, while still capturing the beautiful resonance of the concert hall. This is your absolute chamber music collection - a versatile classic that will grace your film, TV, game soundtracks and pop records.

The Pro version includes four additional mic positions and three CPU-friendly stereo mixes, produced by award-winning engineer Jack Jackson, giving you a rich and versatile string sound.

Intimacy and Detail

Chamber Music refers to ensembles smaller than a symphony orchestra - ranging from a quartet to 40 players. Our goal was to create a definitive Chamber Strings project, recorded in the Concert Hall at AIR Studios, to give you the sought-after widescreen blockbuster sound, with detail and intimacy - something that is hard to achieve in large string sample libraries.

We offer you 16 world-class players: 4 first violins, 3 second violins, 3 violas, 3 cellos and 3 double basses, all expertly sampled. You can choose from over 244 articulations, including 38 short notes, 53 long notes, 19 special effects and 45 extraordinary legato patches, all compiled by Andrew Blaney. Each sample was recorded with multiple round-robin and dynamic layers, and with 7 vital versatile microphone positions. In addition to each individual part, we also feature "ensemble" ", designed for sketching and composing, giving you instant gratification.

Pro Edition
The Pro Edition enhances the patches in Spitfire Chamber Strings and provides even more flexibility, adding four microphones - warm close ribbon (Cr), close stereo pair (St) and gallery (G) signals for all techniques (excluding ensemble), as well as an outtrigger (O) signal on all techniques, and adding a warm base CTA.

In addition, we've included Fine (F), Medium (M) and Wide (B) stereo mixes for all techniques (except ensemble) for instant great sounding mixes with low CPU/RAM usage, created by award-winning engineer Jake Jackson.
