With Minimal Sonokinetic BV delivers the fourth batch of orchestral instruments in our current range. We listened to our users and built a completely new system from the ground up, defining our idea in a novel direction for a pattern-based orchestral sampling revolution.
Minimal suggests a particular musical style, and many of the patterns available in this book are well suited to that style. However, we would like to stress that this is indeed a very flexible tool, capable of enhancing a wide range of musical arrangements and compositions in a huge variety of styles. The difference between Minimal and libraries like Ensemble and Comply is in its section-based approach. All phrases are recorded per orchestral part, and can be used individually or together in any combination, allowing for a vast array of variations at your fingertips.

The first thing that will strike you is the non-apologetically polished interface style. Besides this being a polite nod to our Dutch artistic heritage on the outside it also very much references the "form follows function" attitude that Dutch design is famous for. There are no superfluous elements and we have arranged everything in an intuitive manner. You have every control within a single screen with an uncrowded workspace. You might not suspect it just by looking at it, but there are a lot of sophisticated features at your disposal from this one screen.

Many innovative features grace this instrument, mostly under the hood, as we believe technology is at its best when you don't notice it. One of the features that might need a little more of an introduction is the harmonic shift feature. The smallest of this element can lead to great sounding results and also serve as a very beneficial motivational tool.
