Move seamlessly from a quintet of single players performing at the softest level, right up to a full 60-piece symphonic string section playing full pelt — all in the same instrument. Expertly recorded in The Hall at London’s AIR Studios — Spitfire’s spiritual home, and the scoring stage for the biggest blockbuster films, including Harry Potter, The Dark Knight and Inception — we offer you the most dynamic and expressive strings that we have ever created, almost impossible to recreate live. Featuring 21 essential articulations, the library ~5GB enables you to achieve new levels of expression by controlling dynamics and number of players simultaneously, giving you incredible focus, texture and magnitude — an imagined aperture in sound. The supersoft Pinhole Ensemble was recorded with the canopy of AIR dropped to achieve a close, intimate and focused sound, and is also available to play on its own. The Refractions patch offers you swells and waves made from the existing Aperture Ensemble, allowing you to play without controllers as both the ensemble and dynamics grows and then fades.
