Evolution Jazz Archtop brings you the iconic sound of the hollow-body jazz guitar, an essential instrument for both traditional and modern jazz ensembles. Archtop guitars also appear in other musical styles such as R&B, pop, Latin, and funk. Evolution Jazz Archtop covers all of these styles with its flexible and highly customizable approach. Extensively sampled, Evolution Jazz Archtop includes multiple round-robin for both picking directions and three dynamic layers for a wide range of expressions. These specs cover articulations such as sustains, palm mutes, fully muted notes, and natural harmonics. The library also includes extended playing techniques such as legato articulations and chord claps, dive bombing, fret noise, and more.

In developing Evolution Jazz Archtop, we worked with one of Utah's most respected recording studios, Rosewood Recording Company. Guy Randle, owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, uses analog audio equipment to skillfully shape and emphasize the guitar's rich tones. For the sampling session, Guy Randle worked with award-winning backing guitarist, international performer and jazz theory/improvisation educator Rich Dixon.

The Evolution Jazz Archtop is equipped with our Evolution guitar engine, which gives you a wealth of features: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection and a powerful effects engine. The library includes many factory presets for ready-to-use classic and modern jazz guitar tones designed to fit perfectly into the mix.
