The Ultimate Cinematic Drum Sample Library
Spitfire Audio has teamed up with the biggest names in film scoring to create the ultimate drum sample library for cinematic percussion. We've taken the same ensemble and solo instruments used by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer on his blockbuster scores, drawing on his years of creativity and studio experimentation to give you everything you need to create epic drum music. From tombeks to taikos, from whispers to thunderous bangs, we've worked with Hans' Grammy-winning team to produce the highest quality recordings at Lyndhurst Hall at London's AIR Studios (where Hans recorded his most important scores), all mixed and produced by Hans himself.

The Pro version also includes bonus mixes by royalty producers Junkie XL, Geoff Foster, Alan Meyerson and Steve Lipson, including CPU-friendly stereo mixes and 10 independent mic positions.

Produced by a Master of Film Scoring
Hans Zimmer is one of the most successful, influential and prolific film composers of our time. Winner of numerous awards including an Oscar, he has composed scores for films such as Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight and Dunkirk and is considered one of the greatest living film composers. Hans not only defined his own compositional style, he also defined a production method and sonic innovation that has influenced a generation of composers.

We have worked closely with Hans Zimmer and his team of Grammy-winning engineers, musicians and technicians to produce professional cinematic percussion productions authorized by Hans Zimmer. This is not an emulation or synthesis of his methods, but a reproduction; the same world-class studios, musicians, instruments, signal chains and engineers, with Hans personally overseeing every detail, the same attention to detail and perfection, coupled with the pioneering technology of Spitfire, designed to give you the ultimate creative customization.

London Ensemble and Solo
Hans Zimmer Percussion combines the work of two extraordinary recording districts. The material from the "London Ensemble" features four of Hans's most proud percussionists, Frank Ricotti, Gary Kettle, Stephen Henderson and Paul Kravis, playing a variety of instruments and styles, and is essentially the distillation of more than a decade of musical experimentation and innovation.

Included are his classic drum ensembles and major solo instruments:

The rest of the library is performed by Hans' long-time collaborator and percussion legend Paul Clarvis (Ghost, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Star Wars), who plays solo instruments beautifully, adding articulation, detail, emphasis, clarity and nuance to this epic collection. Hans prefers the quieter layers the most, so in addition to the articulation thunder you'd expect, there are lower layers that provide engaging, detailed drum beats to help you get the groove going.
