The ticking sound of clocks and timepieces has always been associated with suspense, drama, and sit-at-your-seat movie moments. In typical Sonokinetic style, we couldn't let this cinematic trend catch on without jumping in with both feet and sampling a ton of pocket watches, wristwatches, and small clocks. The extremely quiet sound produced by these mechanisms allowed us to use all the tricks in our recording book to capture clean and precise samples without any excess noise. After a lot of experimentation, we think we have successfully captured the nuanced watch sounds without sacrificing any of the character of these unique timepieces.

Of course, we couldn't resist presenting these samples in a fun and functional interface. It has a special steampunk feel with multiple cogs and gears that can be clicked to access deeper performance parameters. In the GUI, it's easy to combine sounds, add effects, and trigger exactly the rhythmic pattern you want to play.
