A versatile Kontakt instrument for creating ambient and ambient music
Tureis is a new Kontakt instrument that I love, with three evocative presets perfect for creating dynamic, atmospheric soundscapes.

I created Tureis using our beloved Yamaha U1 upright felt piano, which has been an integral part of our home for many years. Known for its rich, rich tone and exquisite craftsmanship, the Yamaha U1 is a favorite among pianists for its expressive, warm sound quality and sensitive touch. It sits in the center of our living room, ready to play at any time, filling our home with music and memories.

To capture the essence of Tureis, I recorded single notes and phrases with two microphones placed just 15 cm above the hammers and with the felt pedal depressed. Then I set about recording those intimate, warm sounds that make this piano so special.

Back in my editing room, I carefully sliced ​​and trimmed the recordings, then experimented with time stretching (300-500x), reversing, and resampling. This process transformed these precious recordings into the unique samples that now bring Tureis to life.

Each preset has a warm and emotional sound, perfect for creating expansive, atmospheric sounds. In Kontakt, the presets contain two key groups: the red keys produce an endless, ever-changing sound or sustained sound, while the green keys provide playable sounds or notes. Tureis

Also features eight assignable Smart Controls, allowing you to add your own unique depth and personality to these soundscapes. Tureis

More than just a tool, it is a part of my musical journey, filled with love and nostalgia. I hope it brings the same joy to your projects that the Yamaha upright piano brings to our home.

Please note that Tureis is not a traditional playable sampled piano instrument. I did not sample each note individually. Instead, Tureis is an instrument that uses sounds sampled from an upright felt piano to create ambient sound effects and atmospheres
