120 Impulse Responses for the Hardest to Record PlacesWe've finally figured out how to use our long field recording experience and years of R&D to properly emulate the sonic complexity of any setting. You get over 120 impulse responses for the hardest to record places, such as huge canyons, snowy hills, meadows, and narrow city streets. This is without a doubt the most complete and well-organized set of impulse responses on the market today, and due to the nature of IR modeling, has a near-infinite signal-to-noise ratio.

Multiple Distances for Most LocationsIn order to make the Field and Spatial-Outdoor Impulse Responses as useful and accurate as possible, we've included distances that vary depending on how appropriate each sound is. For large open spaces like a medium-sized canyon, we go from 0-30-40-70 meters, or a long alley, 0-70-120 meters, while in narrower areas we've included closer intervals, such as a forest pit, 0-10 meters.

We cover the most common outdoor environments for movies and video games, both urban and natural; there are impulse responses for each occasion. Natural IRs include canyons, forests, hills, mountains, etc., all with different ground materials and distances. Whereas Urban IRs include bridges, squares, streets, alleys, ports, courtyards, dams, castles, underpasses, etc., also at varying distances. What's so special about this library?
Impulse responses are essential to making accurate reverbs for a scene, giving it a complete sense of reality. Sound designers know the importance of having a convolution reverb plugin, which makes it easy to place sounds in different places or situations. But the problem is that accurate outdoor impulse responses are almost impossible to record naturally - one needs a huge sound source and perfect weather conditions, among other things.

That's why we desperately searched for other solutions. After two years of studying how sound behaves in different places and on different surfaces, we developed a method that makes it possible to make accurate acoustic reflection models for almost any location. The result reflects reality and can be experienced through fields and spaces - outdoor impulse responses.
